The story of Agriturismo Le Giuncaine in Castiglione della Pescaia began more than half a
century ago with the Cencini family farm. Like anything built with love, passion, sacrifice and the
quiet determination that is so typical of the people of the Maremma, it has not faded over time, but
has evolved to meet modern needs. Alongside the original farm, the agriturismo was created, and
more recently a line of organic local products was added. Through all these changes, one thing has remained beautifully unchanged: a deep
dedication to hard work, a respect for genuine values, and a true love for the Maremma.
The agriturismo has always been family-run, and today it is proudly led by women:
tireless, determined, and always welcoming guests with a smile. Sisters Antonella and Daniela
inherited their love for the countryside and for hospitality from their parents, who first opened the
property to guests. Every day, with the invaluable help of their daughters, they devote themselves to
caring for the animals, the vegetable gardens, and the guest experience.
The agriturismo’s restaurant deserves a special mention: a place where Maremma cuisine
is honoured, flavours are brought to life, and ingredients are chosen with a focus on quality and
authenticity. Here, traditional recipes are paired with thoughtful, respectful reinterpretations to offer
guests a truly memorable dining experience.
